Bringing together people, ideas, and projects to improve a sustainable Ottawa.
A community charity working across Ottawa since 2009.
A grassroots charity building a sustainable Ottawa since 2009.
EcoCity Ottawa brings together neighbourhoods, businesses, schools, and local organizations to lead their own sustainability projects starting with the needs they know best.
We provide the tools, connections, and support. Communities provide the action.
Community-led sustainability
OBEC brings residents, schools, organizations, and businesses together to create practical projects that improve local sustainability. Start where you are, use what you have, and build together.
What you can do
- Make your neighbourhood more sustainable.
- Meet neighbours and experts working on local projects.
- Collaborate with organizations to create community solutions.
From conversation to community action
We give communities the tools and facilitation to turn good ideas into real, local sustainability projects, and share those stories so others can learn and do the same.
