Overview
1. Problem
West Carleton residents needed a shared plan to turn sustainability interest into coordinated local action.
2. Action
OBEC consulted community organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders for about ten months, culminating in a June 11, 2019 workshop where residents discussed transportation, food access, environment, and community development.
3. Outcome
The plan gathered ideas and motivated residents to participate in sustainability actions, though building an effective follow-up system to track proposed projects remained a challenge.
